Dr Paul Melling

Dr Paul Melling graduated MB BChir MA from Cambridge University in 1996. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners having passed his examinations with distinction. He has a postgraduate diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology and a postgraduate diploma in dermatology from the University of Wales. Dr Melling has a special interest in general medicine and is an accredited GP trainer. He is the Clinical Governance lead for the practice team.

Dr Phil Windless

Dr Phil Windless studied at the University of Wales, College of Medicine in Cardiff and qualified in 1996 with MB BCh with a distinction in General Practice. He completed his GP training locally in South Devon. He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and has a post graduate Diploma in Therapeutics. Dr Windless is the team lead for prescribing within the practice and facilitates medical student and practice team education. He enjoys all aspects of general practice."

Dr Anna Kennaird graduated MB BChir MA from Cambridge University in 1995. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners having passed her examinations with distinction. Dr Kennaird is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She has a diploma in dermatology from the University of Wales and has a special interest in female medicine.

Dr Richard Sanford

Dr Richard Sanford graduated MBChB from the University of Leicester and Warwick in 2007 after obtaining a 1st class Bachelor of Science Honours Degree at the University of Exeter. He then completed his GP training at Kingskerswell Medical Centre in 2012. Dr Sanford enjoys the diversity of General Practice and is developing an interest in research and hopes to become a GP trainer in the future.

Dr John McCormick

Dr John McCormick studied medicine at Oxford University and Imperial College School of Medicine, graduating in 2003. After several years training in the surgical disciplines and some time working abroad he moved to Devon to undertake further training as a GP and to settle down with his young family. John is interested in all aspects of general practice and also enjoys putting his surgical training to use in the minor procedures we offer. In addition to his work at the practice at the practice he acts as the Chief Clinical Information Officer for South Devon and Torbay CCG and is responsible for championing how we use information, technology and innovation to improve care for patients.

Dr Hannah Oliphant

Dr Hannah Oliphant graduated from Peninsula Medical School in 2008 and completed Foundation training in the South west at Torbay Hospital and Derriford. She completed her MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) in early 2016 after training in Plymouth. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice and is very pleased to be a new member of the team at Ipplepen.

Dr Helen Burlington

Helen graduated from Birmingham University in 1999 and spent time working In Australia before completing her further training and MRCGP (Dist.) in Torbay. After 10 years in Bristol working as a GP she realised her dream of living back in Devon with her family and animals! Helen enjoys all aspects of General Practice but has developed specialist interests in women's health and in particular menopause management. In her spare time she enjoys pottering around on the River Dart, wild swimming and walking her dog.

Dr Laura Woollett

Dr Laura Woollett graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009. After a couple of years working in Australia she completed her GP training in Cornwall. Dr Woollett worked as a salaried GP in West Cornwall before moving back to South Devon where she grew up. Alongside her work as a GP she has worked in a couple of local community hospitals. Dr Woollett enjoys all aspects of General Practice, with particular interest in family planning and sexual health, as well as care of the elderly.

Dr Alice Davison

Dr Alice Davison graduated MBBCh from Cardiff University in 2011 and also has a BSc in Psychology. She previously worked as an acute medical doctor in New Zealand, before completing her GP training in Exeter. Alice has a special interest in tropical medicine and has a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. She has also worked in both Tanzania and Refugee Camps in Greece as a GP. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and wants to make lifestyle medicine more accessible to her patients. She is currently completing the Diploma in lifestyle medicine.
